  • Grade 7 Camp Muskoka information meeting Sept. 26 CRW Grade Seven students and parents are invited to attend a Camp Muskoka Information night, on Tuesday, Sept. 26, in the school library, beginning at 6:00 p.m. sharp.   The four day and three night trip is open to all CRW Grade 7 students and is planned for Tuesday, April 03, 2018 to Friday, April 06, 2018.   • New online payment system for 2017-18 As you may be aware, HDSB is changing vendors for its online payment system.  Since records cannot be transferred from one vendor to another, anyone who was registered with Cashless Schools and who would like to continue with online payments will have to register with School Cash Online.  You can do so online using the following link:

  • Newcomers' Meet and Greet - Sept. 21 CRW's monthly Newcomers' Meet and Greet will be held in the school library, on Thursday, Sept. 21, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.  The Newcomers group helps connect families new to the school, the region, the province, or the country with the larger school community.  We want to help parents/families make connections with others, ask questions, get answers, meet a mentor/friend, be comfortable using their mother tongue in the community, learn about the education system in Ontario, learn more about Canada, and other topics which arise from the group.  The group meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month in the morning.  Everyone is welcome to join us. Canada 150 Celebration

... On June 21, the students and staff of Captain R. Wilson took time for an early celebration of Canada's 150th birthday.  Grades 1-8 gathered for a school photo.  Happy 150th, Canada!

Flying High...

... At Camp Muskoka.  A group of CRW Grade Seven students enjoyed an opportunity to work with the Inuit blanket during Thursday morning activities.  The students return on Friday, Apr. 21 at approximately 3:00 p.m.

Eric Walters visits CRW

Acclaimed Canadian author Eric Walters recently made a literary impression on our Grade 6, 7, and 8 students, as he dropped by to discuss his books and the many adventures behind them.  After the presentation, Walters took time to chat and pose with a few of our Grade Eight students.

Newspaper Club publishes first issue

CRW's Newspaper Club recently celebrated the publishing of the first edition of the Shark Byte.  Click here to read more.

Inspire Award for CRW's Ms. Peace

CRW Teacher Jen Peace was recently honoured with a Halton District School Board Inspire award, which is presented to individuals who go above and beyond to support HDSB students.  Celebrating with Ms. Peace are HDSB Trustee Joanna Oliver (left), CRW's mascot Sharky, and the entire CRW student body.

Chapters Night Fun

CRW Sharks are Halton Champions!

CRW's Senior Boys' Volleyball team captured the Halton Championship on Tuesday, Nov. 22, with a three set win over Irma Coulson P.S.  Congratulations to our championship team and fantastic coaching staff!
