Halton Bus Information

For bus registration information, please visit 2023-24 Kindergarten Registration Package. Along with the registration, other helpful information regarding transportation eligibility, kindergarten safety tags and the annual First-Time Rider Safety program an be accessed on haltonbus.ca on the Kindergarten Information page.


HSTS Courtesy Bus Seats

Each year, in accordance with the HSTS Operating Procedure regarding Courtesy Seats, families with children who are not eligible for school bus transportation to and from school, may apply for a courtesy seat. The HSTS Courtesy Seat online application is now open for submissions until Friday, June 30, 2024 at 5 p.m. HSTS will complete the courtesy seat application and review process over the summer in order to allow courtesy riders to begin riding the bus on the first day of school in September 2023. Parents and guardians will be advised of the status of their application by the third week of August via email, to the primary contact provided to the school. Approved applicants can access their transportation schedule via the HSTS Parent Portal (Parent Portal Instructions) during the third week of August.

Halton Food for Thought (HFFT) is dedicated to feeding the success of our students, one healthy, happy student tummy at a time.

In partnership with the school boards and our community, HFFT is the sole provider of Student Nutrition Programs in schools across Halton Region.

Student Nutrition Programs include nutritious meals and snacks and are available before or during school hours at no cost. 

These programs are a safe and reliable source of healthy food and are open to all students in a school’s community from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12. Halton Food for Thought believes that through the provision of healthy food, every student has the best chance at success.

 

We want all children to reach their full potential and lead healthy, active lives.

Healthy Student Snack Bags - Food4Kids


When we feed students nutritious food, we are offering them their best chance for success.  We want students to reach their full potential and lead healthy, active lives.


Food4Kids Halton provides packages of healthy food for elementary age kids with limited or no access to food each weekend.

 

The food packages are assembled by volunteers and delivered to schools each Friday to ensure children have access to additional snacks over the weekend. 


If you would like to enroll in the Food4Kids program please contact the school and we will send an application form to you.

Did you know that the #HDSB offers English & French language classes for newcomers to Halton? The Adult Languages Program is offered at @garyallanschool locations across Halton, and online. Previously offered in Burlington, Oakville & Milton, we are now expanding to Halton Hills!
